Quang Ninh plans to allocate over 141.1 billion VND to give gifts for Tet

For the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Quang Ninh province synchronously implements many programs to care for Tet for workers and laborers (NLĐ), focusing on supporting the lives and welfare of trade unions, thereby helping NLĐ celebrate Tet safely, stably, and feel secure in sticking with businesses.

Trade Union Tet Market with many subsidized activities

According to the plan, Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee plans to allocate over 141.1 billion VND to give more than 256,300 gifts to visit and encourage people from all walks of life and forces on duty during Tet.

In this total resource, workers and laborers are one of the target groups of concern through many direct and indirect support policies, from the State budget, trade union organizations to the companionship of the business community.

The province allocates nearly 24.3 billion VND to implement Resolution No. 418/NQ-CP dated December 28, 2025 of the Government on giving gifts from the Party and State on the occasion of welcoming the 14th National Party Congress and the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026. Beneficiaries include people with meritorious services to the revolution, social protection beneficiaries, social pensioners and vulnerable groups, with a support level of 400,000 VND/person.

About 113.3 billion VND from the provincial budget to give nearly 195,600 gifts according to the specific social security policies of the locality. This resource is allocated to many target groups, including workers in difficult circumstances, low-income workers, workers working in industrial parks, economic zones, and areas far from the center. The province allocates over 3 billion VND to visit and encourage Tet duty forces.

Trade union levels in Quang Ninh province have implemented many practical Tet care activities for union members and workers. Prominent is the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program in online form. According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the program supports 200,000 union members nationwide, with a level of 500,000 VND/person in the form of e-vouchers, with a total budget of about 100 billion VND.

The Trade Union of Jinko Solar Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd. (Song Khoai Industrial Park, Quang Yen ward) has reviewed and selected 50 workers in difficult circumstances to guide them to install applications and receive Tet shopping e-vouchers.

Jinko Solar Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd. has been operating since 2021, currently has more than 2,400 officials, workers, and employees.

According to Ms. Dinh Thanh Tu - Chairwoman of the company's Trade Union, during the 2026 Lunar New Year, the company will give each employee a Tet gift worth 700,000 VND; and organize visits and gifts to 100 workers in difficult circumstances, each gift worth 1 million VND.

Travel support for workers returning to their hometowns for Tet

According to the plan of the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, during Tet, trade union levels will coordinate to organize activities to visit, give gifts, and wish Tet to union members and workers; participate in care programs according to the plan of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, serving the activities of Party and State leaders, National Assembly deputies to visit and give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances and who have suffered labor accidents. Deploy programs "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", Trade Union Year-end Meal, "Tet Not Far From Home" for workers who do not return home, and workers who stay to work during Tet.

According to the plan of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited, units are expected to arrange 511 bus trips to pick up more than 19,300 workers and their families to return to their hometowns for Tet and return to work after Tet. About 17,600 workers are supported with bus tickets at a rate of 500,000 to 1,000,000 VND/person, with a total cost of over 11 billion VND.
